New London County resident Jaimer Martin Ico Gregorio, of the city of New London, was located on Sunday, July 30, in the ocean off Dunes Park Beach in Westerly, Rhode Island.
Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella said Jamier went missing on Thursday, July 27, around 7 p.m. while swimming with family and friends.
The department, along with area emergency services and lifeguards searched for the teen without locating him until after dark.
On Sunday, around 5:15 p.m. the police department received a report that a body had been recovered on the ocean side of Wawaloam Drive, the chief said.
"Jamier was located by a friend of the family, who had been in the area along with many other friends and family the past few days," Gingerella said.
The Office of the Rhode Island Medical Examiner will continue to investigate.
